Phlegm: New Work in Progress

Phlegm has been invited to create a new piece on the main front window of the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield. Phlegm told me that this is the first time that he has had to paint anything back to front, as he is painting on the outside of the window so that the finished piece can be viewed by the public from the inside. It should look fantastic against a clear blue sky! These pictures show the early stages of the new piece:

Phlegm’s new work replaces the previous piece by Kid Acne which has been in place since his Kill your Darlings exhibition here in 2011.

Invasion of the Stabby Women # 2

Here are a few more of Kid Acne‘s stabby women which I spotted yesterday in another part of the city…

…and here they are brought to life in a film which was shown at the Kill your Darlings exhibition in 2011. The factory location is a well known and much frequented graffiti spot in the south of the city.

Golden Hair

Here is a selection of images featuring the distinctive flowing hair element of  Kid Acne‘s work, which present me with the perfect opportunity to include a wonderful song from the late Syd Barrett. The first two images are from Kid Acne’s 2011 Kill Your Darlings exhibition at the Millenium Galleries in Sheffield.
