Ancient and Modern # 2

Norwich was once regarded as the second city of England after London and it retains a Norman keep and numerous medieval buildings attesting to its long and eventful history. Apparently it has the distinction of being the only city ever to have been excommunicated by the Pope, following a riot between monks and local citizens back in the 13th century.

Needless to say it’s a bit quieter now and once you get away from the centre of town you discover that it is home to many talented writers and urban artists. I have already documented some of the great artwork that I found in one of the local subways and this is the remainder of the graffiti photographs from my visit (more paste ups and bits and bobs to come :)).
